Gene spent his childhood days in the historic town of Astoria, Oregon, where he developed a love for the sea and for seafood. He became a licensed REALTOR in 2015 and pursued his business in the Redmond and Seattle markets. But in 2020, he decided to take the literal plunge into the Gulf of Mexico by moving his family of five to Manatee County where they could enjoy the warm Florida waters all year round.
