BRADENTON, FL, October 17 – On Friday, October 7th Wagner Realty held their annual Golf Classic Fundraiser at Tara Golf & Country Club in Bradenton. Coming on the heels of the recent hurricane, it was unclear whether the event would even happen. Many in our local community suffered property damage, power outages, and dealt with the stress of mandatory evacuations. But it soon became apparent that getting together to thank the Bradenton Police Department for their hard work was just what our community needed.
The weather was perfect for more than 100 golfers to participate in 18 holes of scramble golf, raising more than $15K for The Bradenton Blue Foundation, that provides funds for specialty training, technology, safety equipment, community outreach programs, and K-9 safety needs.
The mission of the Bradenton Blue Foundation is to make the City of Bradenton a safer place for all to live, work and visit through the fulfillment of unmet non-budgeted safety needs for its most critical resource, its members.
Proudly serving on the Bradenton Blue Foundation is Stephen McGonagle, Wagner Realty Corporate Director. "Wagner Realty does more than sell real estate. Community outreach is very important to us" says McGonagle, adding "our philosophy is to give more to the community we serve than we take from it. The entire Wagner family is proud to serve our communities."
Following a day on course, Wagner Realty hosted dinner along with the awards ceremony. First place went to the foursome of Bryan Hostetler, Jacob Lamoreaux, Dalton Yancy, and Mike Warren. Second place went to Dennis Cooley, Rian Kelly, Dale Slimick and Pete Britton. Third place went to Oscar Acosta, Nick Johnson, Mike Balensiefen, and Finnian Mayotte. Closest to the Pin went to Ryan Williams and Carol Codella. Longest drive went to Jeff Beckley and Beth Larson.
A huge thank you goes out to our sponsors and volunteers who helped make the golf classic an exciting and successful fundraising event.
