Make Moving with Your Pet Pawsitive

6 Tips for Moving with Your Pet
Did you know that February 20th is National Love Your Pet Day? Our real estate agents know just how much people love their pets, and offer six simple ways to make your move low-stress for your furry friends (and you!). After all, pets are family so it's important to make sure to help them adjust and stay safe during a move.

  1. Update Your Pet's ID.
Make sure your pets are wearing proper collars and ID tags with your name, address and current cell phone number before you move.  Consider getting your cat or dog microchipped, as collars and tags can fall off and get lost. If your pet already has a chip, it's vital to update your contact information in the event that they do get lost.

Essentials to Sell Your Home in Bradenton
Want to sell a spare TV or some old clothes? Just take a picture or two, post them on eBay or Craigslist and wait for the calls to come in. But Bradenton homes for sale require a little more TLC to move quickly and command top price.

If you're a Bradenton homeowner planning to put your house on the market, use these smart tips from our real estate agents to develop a winning game plan.

  1. Do Your Homework
Before you commit, research the local market to make sure it's a good time to sell. Look for data like average sale price and current inventory levels that indicate whether it's a buyers or seller's market. Seasonality is also a factor, so consider which time of year is optimal.

Sarasota Frozen Yogurt Businesses
If you're in the mood for a tasty treat but are still trying to stick to your New Year's resolutions, a healthy frozen yogurt is a perfect solution. In honor of National Frozen Yogurt Day on February 6, our real estate agents decided to pay a visit to some of our favorite frozen dessert shops.

After doing plenty of due diligence, they've created a list of their favorites to share with you. Each location has unique qualities, so you may want to do your own research and try them all!

  1. Yogurtology: 1635 S Tamiami Trl., Sarasota
With yogurt mixologists creating "premiyum" flavors you won't find anywhere else, Yogurtology offers visitors a truly unique experience.  When you're in the area looking at Sarasota homes for sale, take a few minutes to stop by and check out some of the new flavors like Blueberry Tart, Rocket Pop Sorbet, and Red Velvet Cake.

Buying a Home Closing Day Surprises

Transferring the ownership of a home at closing can be confusing. Even though real estate closings take place daily, the paperwork and costs that ensure that your property transfers legally can often be met with surprises if you're not prepared.

Our real estate agents are here with an explanation of what costs to expect at closing so you are not caught by surprise.

Closing Costs: No Surprises

In any real estate transaction, buyers and sellers should understand each closing cost component before coming to the signing. Some items can be negotiated before the closing to determine who pays.

Typical costs that may appear on your real estate closing statement are:
